Internal lime plastering job all wrapped up in Bisley. Traditional 3 coat work on the walls and the ceiling was insulated with sheeps wool & then boarded with wood fibre boards for extra insulation.

Finished this lime pointing project on a cottage in Horsley.

Cement render had trapped a lot of moisture in this wall, we repointed with a soft lime mortar and added a lime capping to finish it off nicely.

Hemp plaster on wood fibre insulation boards. The client wanted to turn this loft space into a spare bedroom, it was cold and draughty before & now it’s been given a new lease of life and retains the warmth far more efficiently through the colder months.

Restoration of these beautiful windows in Chalford, taken right back to to the metal, treated with red oxide and glazed with linseed putty & paint.

A perfect example of the damage of cement pointing on soft red bricks, moisture trapped in the bricks and can’t get out through the joints, over time this has forced the bricks to spall and crumble away.

A lovely trowel full of well haired lime plaster. The plastic fibres that a lot of people use these days just don’t give the plaster the same feel when you’re getting it on the wall, and they certainly didn’t have plastic fibres 200 years ago…

Limewash going on, a mixture of red ochre, marigold and yellow ochre in this one.

Using an insulating cork plaster from Diathonite on these stone walls, cork is a fantastic addition to lime plasters along with perlite & hemp.
